CARING FOR SOMEONE WITH ALZHEIMER’S AND DEMENTIA
Dementia is slightly a non-specific illness syndrome in which affected areas of cognition may be memory, attention, language, and problem solving. The most common types of dementia are Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and dementia with Lewy bodies, caused by the destruction of nerve cells in the brain. These nerve cells cannot be replaced.
Different types of dementia have different possible causes. Our qualified carers treat demantia suffers with dementia with kindness and respect and never forget that in spite of their illness, the person with dementia is still a unique and valuable human being.
