RA CARE SERVICES was established by Md Ashraful Alam. Ever since he became adult, he had an ambition to assist the vulnerable and the elderly. His outreach work began by charity work with well-known charities such as Cancer Research UK, including donating regularly to children’s charity “Save The Children” “Muslim AID”, Mr Alam also a registered NHS blood donor and Tower Hamlets Health Watch Advisory Group Member.
Since as early as 2006, he had a passion to assist the elderly and vulnerable in their day to day lives, and then officially became a Support Worker after joining a Care Agency.
As a Community Support Worker he had opportunities to meet vulnerable members of the community and to see their vulnerability first hand. This gave him a raw passion to do more for them. Later, he established his own Care Agency with the thirst to assist the vulnerable and the elderly and the thirst to decrease unemployment in the community.
RA Care Service’s policy for a Care Plan requires it to be carried out during all stages as a full working partnership between the Service User, their Key Worker and their formal Carer or advocate.
Our policy states that Care Workers must work according to what is on the Plan to ensure objectives of maintaining the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, and the personal and oral hygiene of the Service User are met. The Care Plan allows the development to support their capacity for self-care.
WORK ALONG SECTOR PROFFESIONALS allows external agencies to audit our services from time to time.
There will be time when information about the Service User needs to be passed on to other agencies or organisations, for example if they are receiving care or support from a GP or hospital.
The types of organizations with whom we may share information are:
- District nurses
- Other health professionals
- Social workers
